Love Language in Self-Talk

A new day is dawning. I have things for you to do in it which you are uniquely designed to handle well. Take stock in how you are treating yourself during your self-talk. Be kind and encouraging to yourself, believing in My Good plans and your capacity to fulfill them. If you catch yourself using demeaning or anxiety-producing language, stop and return to Me for reassurance. I can help rewrite those scripts. Use a language of love when talking to yourself today and don’t settle for anything less. It will have a far reach when you do, because it spills over into loving conversation with others, as well.

Just Get Started

Rekindle some enthusiasm for life and fun today. You need joy in your day. It may mean devoting five minutes to some sort of hobby or creative outlet you haven’t tried in a while. Just get started. Don’t feel like you have to commit to taking on a whole project. That might overwhelm you. Give yourself credit for what you are able to contribute instead of beating yourself up for what doesn’t get done. I work like that in you: small bits at a time. Do this as your aim for holy rejuvenation, spurred on by My nudge giving you permission to take time for this. It’s important to carve out time for enjoyment.

Put Aside Your Anger

Relax. Be mindful of the fact that you influence the atmosphere around you. Put aside your anger – it isn’t doing you any good. You can be quiet. I know you can do it. Shift your gaze and your focus onto enjoying the landscape. It is yours to take in and it will speak to you. I will speak words of gentleness and care to you when you take the time to do so.

What to Attend to

Be an observer today. Take notice of others, your surroundings and also of yourself. Notice your physical reactions, – aches, pains, and thoughts, – without judging them as “good” or “bad”. As you take stock of things, I will help you determine what needs action and what to attend to first. The rest can wait. I want your wellness as much as you do. By being observant, accepting, and kind toward yourself it will help you do so with others, as well. I need you in this day, and you need Me to help figure out what to do with whatever is in front of you. Let’s enter it hand in hand.

Love Yourself, Too

Today is supposed to be about expressing love to others. I want to emphasize that it’s okay and essential to love yourself, too. Your body has been working well for you, so be kind to it today and deflect any tendency to criticize any part of yourself. Replace that habit with one of gratitude for all that you are still able to do in life. Embrace your age, and learn to listen and attend to your body and spirit just as much as you pay attention to others. Life is a gift encased in this “self”, so the more you treasure and nurture it, the more freely you can share love well with others.

Not Hectic All the Time

Pay attention to your body today. Notice the signals for when it needs a break or wants you to cut yourself some slack. Rest is just as important as exercise, good nutrition, and hydration. Everything in checks and balances. Take time to move, but also carve out time for slowing and mindfulness. You can have both in your routine, you know. Ask for My help when life feels hard or even before it becomes overwhelming. It doesn’t have to feel hectic all the time.

Shine Without Feeling Daunted

You are God’s beloved, – a child of God, – so, believe it. Knowing this and trusting Me in this truth are two different things, but both are equally important. To know is to comprehend deep within, ingesting the words and shedding light on negative thought habits that try to tell you otherwise. God shows favor and delight in you, with great affection. Trusting this truth is taking all of this to the next level by putting into action self-care, self-confidence, and self-acceptance. When you trust that you are loved, defensiveness and false pretenses go down and fade away so the real you can shine without feeling daunted. Show love to yourself and this will radiate out, helping you to love others with ease, insight, and patience. Grasp what it feels like to know and trust God’s love for you.

My Measuring Stick is Different

There is time enough for everything – even self-care. The last thing I intend is for you to feel discouraged or defeated. Carve out alone time and quiet time today to meet with Me for restoration. Let Me remind you of your likeability and how much you are loved and valued, even if others don’t express appreciation for all that you do. You are living for Me, and My measuring stick is different than the world’s is. Find your purpose and meaning by trusting Me and how I use your life for Good things. You are needed and loved by Me, and that is what matters the most.

Release the Pressure to Fix It

I know your innate truth and worth. Deep inside you are the epitome of compassion. It’s because you care so deeply about others that you also get so worked up at times. Let’s work on channeling this passion for helping others with their wellbeing into more constructive focus. You don’t have to be working harder than them. Work on recognizing when you are doing so, trying to control or channel other’s decision-making. Release those who are simply unable or not ready to make better choices on their own. I know how disappointing this is for you to watch, and how you agonize over others poor life management, but hand your disappointment and your wishes for them over to Me. Trust Me to work on it while you take a break to recuperate. You can trust My loving oversight of all things, releasing the pressure to fix it yourself.
