Quiet the Chatter Inside Your Head

You can live calmly and grounded. It takes conscious effort, though, to push aside distractions and quiet the chatter inside your head. So much of what spins in there is just imagined scenarios that never come into fruition. Ground yourself in the here and now. Stop, take a breath, and look around you – observing color or sounds in this present moment. Appreciate the gift of time slowing down when you hone in on My Presence with you right here, right now. Be at ease as you trust in My Goodness. I am looking out for you, always.

It’s Okay to Back Off a Bit

Everyone is a little bit broken, – even you. I don’t say that to sound mean or critical. Rather, I want to reassure you that I see and hold your fragility. I “get” the fearful and anxious thoughts that come into play when you encounter people and circumstances that scare or upset you, or make you second-guess yourself. It’s okay to back off a bit when you feel a need for protection or time to regroup and regain your footing. Run to My safe arms, which are always nearby and open for you. I will help steady you and I always aim to protect you. As I comfort you, your nerves will be soothed. Today doesn’t have to rattle you; trust in My loving Presence.

Picture the Best-Case Scenario

Sometimes you are uneasy inside, even without a reason. That general sense of anxiety and worry merely stems from old habits. In the past, you had to feel prepared for many unknowns on high alert because the people you were with or experiences you were in felt unsafe. I am and have always been your rock of safety and your shelter from the storm. Even now, I pull you out of anxious places and show you people and places with healthy support. Look to Me as you develop new habits of calm and ease. You needn’t worry about things that most likely will never happen. Picture the best-case scenario today and watch as I help make it unfold.

Leave Your Baggage

You have arrived at My door. I greet you with great welcoming, and I attend well to the needs of My guests and children. You are both to Me: my invited visitor and My beloved child. Whenever you encounter problems, difficulties, conflicts, or challenges, remember who you live with and who you are coming home to. Leave your baggage at the entry for Me to sort out while you enter this space within My bright Light. I am a Good and loving God, and there is no room for cluttered worries in My dwelling place.

Watch Your Step

Steady your feet. You have a long road ahead of you, and it’s important that you take your time to get your footing. The path isn’t always neat or easy, so you have to watch your step. This requires keeping your eyes on the nearest parts of the trail and concentrating on the most immediate steps in front of you – not looking too far ahead, or this will trip you up. I make the way clear, though, when you focus on the present and take one step at a time. Rely on My guidance and you will have sure footing.

When Old Memories Plague You

I see when old memories of experiences that scared you or made you feel ashamed return to plague your mind. I watch as you turn them over and over in your head. How I ache to console you when that is happening! Turn to Me for safety. Run to My arms for loving reassurance. Let Me hold you tightly until the things that upset you feel far away. Leave what was in the past back there. Consciously choose to remind yourself that today is a new day. The past doesn’t need to be given power over who you are. Focus on the present – your surroundings, your senses, and My comforting Presence. Choose to believe that all is and can be well again for I love you and I  make all things new.

Present and Attentive to You

When you are sad or anxious, I am fully present. I don’t wait for you to be struggling in order to come near, though. The truth is, I am always fully present and attentive to you. That may be hard to wrap your head around when you are caught up in worries or stress. Be gentler on yourself. I don’t mind attending to your needs. Take a break from sadness, worry, and fear, and rest in My safe arms for a while. Let Me nurture you back to confidence. Everything will work its way out in due time.

The Driver’s Seat

My desire is to give you true peace of mind. Today, try pulling back if you find yourself moving into an anxious driver’s seat. Slide over to the passenger side and hand Me the keys to take you where you need to go. I will help navigate the turns, and I know which speed is needed for each length of the road. Breathe easier with Me in the driver’s seat and you safely buckled in by My loving hand. I won’t steer you wrong.

Ushering You Away From Harm

You can trust Me. I never have back-handed motives or actions. I am a loving God who only operates in safe, kind, and caring ways. No matter who has treated you poorly in the past or how you’ve been hurt, I’m not like that. Picture Me standing by your side if memories of those encounters are clouding your mind. Rewrite that scenario by envisioning Me shielding you with a protective arm, ushering you away from the harm. Turn to Me and cling to the folds of My garments, for I am with you. Ask for My help to heal old wounds and release their grip on you. I am by your side, wishing you wellness and peace.
