The Road Feels Hard

I know you wrestle with your feelings around accomplishments and disappointments, dealing with timing when others cannot join you in what you envision. I am not disappointed in you. I long to cradle you in My arms. I know the road feels hard and is long sometimes, but I need you to know I am watching over you in low times. I see your burdens. Others have burdens, too, and they take them out on you sometimes. It’s true. But try to lift them up – yours and theirs. It will help. I am not finished with you and it hasn’t gotten to the good part yet. Look for little surprises that provide you with joy, fun, and laughter. These will get you by.

Holy Ache for Others

There’s a lot of suffering and sadness in the world. It’s good to feel compassion for others, and a holy ache for what they are going through. Remember, though, that I am involved in everything and attending to all people. It cannot be yours to fix. Turn to Me for help and reassurance. I am assisting all of My beloved through their hardships and on to a new day. I create amazing things out of the ashes. Take comfort in My healing arms.

Joy, Not Drudgery

Take delight in the tasks before you today,  one at a time. Picture that I’ve laid out a “good” day for you, with things you like to do and can feel a sense of accomplishment in. I desire your joy, not drudgery. I prefer seeing your enthusiasm and optimism after so many years of sadness, anger, anxiety, and hurt. Remember, I am a loving God, continually making things new. I gather goodness out of the dust and ashes. Your encouraging spirit serves you and others well. Take heart, for I am truly with you and the desires of My heart are not different than your own. Don’t let fear or anxious anticipation of worst-case-scenarios grip you. Keep your grasp on My right hand as we move forward.

When You Are Worn Out

When you are worn out, sad, or fearful, I see it all. Today is a new day, though. I ask you to attend to self-care first before helping others. When you feel unsafe, fragile, or broken, I am here; at work in you and in your life. Your Goodness touches others in ways you don’t even realize. Instead of focusing on what you haven’t gotten done, replenish your spirit by knowing My renewing Grace is free. I am here to help you be self-forgiving and clean out those messy thoughts trying to put yourself down. Find rest and comfort with Me as we rebuild your strength and self-esteem.

Present and Attentive to You

When you are sad or anxious, I am fully present. I don’t wait for you to be struggling in order to come near, though. The truth is, I am always fully present and attentive to you. That may be hard to wrap your head around when you are caught up in worries or stress. Be gentler on yourself. I don’t mind attending to your needs. Take a break from sadness, worry, and fear, and rest in My safe arms for a while. Let Me nurture you back to confidence. Everything will work its way out in due time.

When You Feel Discouraged

It’s okay to not be happy all the time. On those days when you feel sad or discouraged, treat yourself extra gently, – just as I would. Attend to your needs like you would a sick child: encouraging rest, offering something cool to drink, tenderly stroking their head and praying for them to get better. Lean into hope that things are on the mend and lighter, easier days are ahead. In fact, cling to this hope as your lifeline of truth, because I am here.

Let Your Heart Be Reassured

‘Do not let your heart be discouraged’. Your emotions are real, and allowable. Difficult times will swell up now and then, and it’s reasonable and normal to feel things like distress, anxiety, sadness, or annoyance. By the phrase ‘do not let your heart be discouraged’, I am not saying don’t feel discouragement. Instead, I am guiding you to still acknowledge the truth of how you feel, but to also place it before Me to help you handle. I’m asking you to not let it rule your day or consume your thoughts. Instead, ‘let your heart be reassured’: I’m here, and I’m with you and for you, always.

Your Vulnerable Self

I delight in your vulnerable self, because it is in your vulnerability that I can be drawn ever so close to you. I offer Light-filled moments for you to rest your head upon as I fill the room around you with peace. Let Me cover you in soft blankets of comfort and compassion. I share in your sorrow, yet I want you to see My Joy ahead. I still have much Goodness in store for you. Allow others to care for you in your time of sorrow. Don’t be afraid to show your sadness. I need you to demonstrate how to grieve just as much as how to have strength in faith.

Envision Light All Around

Envision Light all around. Protective Light. Light more powerful than any dark forces encroaching on you. My Light surrounds you from every angle. Surrounded by Me, you need not be afraid. Let your sadness be cradled in My arms…your fears be cupped in My hands. Hear Me whisper, “I am with you! I am here.” Not one speck or shard from the broken pieces goes unnoticed by Me. I pick each up delicately and will use it elsewhere. Eventually Light will come even from the reflection of those shards.

Let Gentleness Rule Your Heart & Outlook

I desire to comfort you. Instead of wallowing in the worries and sadness that risk overwhelming you, look to Me. See My loving face aimed straight at you, pouring out compassion and understanding. Rest here within My gaze and realize things will work out. Let gentleness toward yourself and others rule in your heart and your outlook today. I am with you and for you, and I bring Good out of every hard or sad thing you go through.
