People have hurt you. I know, and I ache for both sides. My design longs for unity, but you can only be in charge of yourself. Examine your ways, scrutinizing against any spitefulness and rooting for kindness to take its place. Forgiveness and love are at the heart of the lifestyle I choose for you. You can be bold in calling out the truth of bad behavior, but I caution you on how to do this. Use gentleness and loving intention, aiming for reconciliation. If the other side is not yet ready for this, leave it in My capable hands. You don’t have to address any of this on your own. Leave your hurt with Me. It is time to be released from its grip on your heart so that Peace can be with you, instead.

Get Ready for More
Let yourself embrace a broader view. You can walk into this new year and into any situation with confidence and curiosity once you accept the fact that I’ve got this, and I have so much more in store. My plans for you are BIG. Don’t let that thought intimidate you. You are small enough to be Mine, yet great enough to handle whatever is coming in tandem with Me and My purpose. Don’t kid yourself into expecting or desiring less. Get ready for more, anticipating that important and life-giving changes are ahead. My plans for you are GOOD.
Take a Day of Rest
It’s so important that you take a day of rest. Your world bombards you with a constant stream of electronics and pressures, all vying for your attention. I call you to put down your phone and quiet your busy mind. Use all of your senses taking in this day and moment. See color, feel temperature and movement, take time to truly taste each bite. Touch the things and people I place before you today with eye-opening wonder. See how enlivened you become when you use a day of rest like this to be rejuvenated and restored.
Do Something Small
Remain obedient to the call I place on your heart. Listen for Me daily as I gently guide you with each small task. You don’t have to see the full picture yet. It’s okay to do something small today. Each little piece adds up over time, and no act of kindness or intentional task completed in My name goes unnoticed by Me. Do these things in a Spirit of Love and willingness. Your servant heart is glorious to behold and gives My hope to others.
You Are Enough
You are enough (even more than!). Get it into your head, and relax in this truth. Be comfortable in your own skin, because I am an amazing God and you are My amazing child. I am so proud of who you are: My creation, – oh-so-loved. Walk peaceably in this day, knowing you can have inner confidence based on My Light within you. Nothing has to ruffle your feathers. Approach each situation with a knowing and loving eye when you use My eyes that see and My ears that hear. Spread My love and joy to the world.
Hang With Me in the Present
Don’t jump too far ahead with all your imaginings. I have plenty in store for you in just this day alone. Reel those thoughts in when they try to shift you into planning mode. Pull back and remind yourself to hang with Me in the present. Find the glory in the current moment. You’ll be better able to recognize Goodness when you turn to seek My smiling face. Let’s take notice in moments like this together often today, – thoroughly enjoying each other’s presence.
Intimately Aware of Your Needs
You are tired and uncomfortable. I’m not a distant God watching all of this without concern. The reverse is true: I am intimately aware of your needs, working behind the scenes to attend to each one. Lay your weary head on My shoulder. As you turn to Me for rest, realize how many burdens you have laid upon your shoulders. Give them over to Me, – fully, – knowing it’s not all up to you to fix. Trust Me to be in charge of your life, and feel the stress load begin to lift. Taking one thing at a time you can move forward into your day, lightened by our companionship.
Get Rid of the Excess and Clutter
Listen and watch. I am at work in and around you. I recognize your doubt, – wanting to believe in My every word but worrying that I won’t come through. I am working things out in the situation that pains you, but it takes time to see My results. Entrust Me with all of your affairs so that I can put them in right order. Let’s get rid of the excess and clutter in your head and surroundings. (This might seem impossible during the holiday season, but nothing is impossible with Me). Breathe in a sense of trust, choosing to invest in it as an act of will. Having faith in Me and My divine plan for you is a worthy investment, indeed.
Melt Away the Worries
Keep doing what you’re doing right now: spending time listening to Me. I do speak in ways that are understandable and clear when you stop your frantic pace long enough to hear. I call you to slow down and pause frequently. Breathe in this reminder and truth: I am with you! Always. When I said to you, “My peace I give to you”, I meant it. Freely lavished when you take time to open your hands. Sit with Me and see how awareness of My Presence calms you down. My Love and Grace can melt away the worries.
Trust My Master Plan
Walk into this day knowing that I have the Master Plan. You may think you have it all mapped out, but if a change in direction comes along don’t fight or resist it. Accept it with open palms, receiving it as gift. Resist the tendency to become bothered or anxious when these twists and turns come about. Receive each moment and LOOK TO ME. These may be small reminders of My partnership and My walk with you. Use this as an opportunity to trust Me more, listening and releasing the tendency to want to control things instead of trusting My control over your life.
