Embracing All the Sides of You

You are getting it, and starting to see that My view of you and My plans for you include loving and appreciating yourself more exactly as you are. I’ve instilled a bold drive in you just as much as a soft, sensitive side. I created you to shout as much as to whisper, to laugh as well as to weep. You are not only worthy of attending to others, but also of being attended to by Me and others. I want you to work at uncovering and tenderly embracing all the sides of you that you’ve tried to hide internally instead of selecting only what you think is appropriate or acceptable outwardly. Reveal it all to Me, because I like you just the way you are and I want you to like yourself, too.

You Are Loved, Well, and Needed

Oh, My tender-hearted one. I see and hear your hidden self-reproach. Even though others have no idea how hard you are on yourself, I see it and hear it. Sit with Me a while and feel My reassuring arm of protection and comfort around your shoulders. Let’s get back at it today, shaking the dust of yesterday from your feet. Brush off the discouragement and rid yourself of the mean things you’ve told yourself. You don’t need that negativity taking up space in your head, – nor do I want that for you. Replace it with My reassurance that you are loved, you are well, and you are needed. Repeat this mantra throughout the day, because it is My truth for you, and My truth is all that matters.

The Ultimate Fulfillment

I am the ultimate fulfillment. So often people try to find fulfillment in things like possessions, recognition, food, drink, travel, sex, beauty, sports, or…you name it. What they are really looking for is a deep, inward sense of peace and wholeness. What do you value? If you set your sights on things other than knowing Me, being in My Presence, and bringing My love to the world, you will lack in feeling fulfilled. I desire to give you that kind of peace. It’s a perfect fit and true union when we are aligned like this. When things of this world distract you, stress you out, or pull you in all directions, turn your gaze toward Me. Seek Me and you will find peace.

Leave the Judgement Calls Up to Me

Your biggest Achilles heel is worrying about what others think of you. I am not worried about that like you are. I see things differently. You are so prone to interpreting every glance, grimace, or comment as either positive, favorable, and ‘likeable’; or as negative, disdained, and a ‘turn-off’. Judging people and sizing everything up is deeply ingrained into your habits, yet this is the part I want you to work on with Me. Ask Me to take over the interpretations while you work on your response to others. Aim for acceptance, tolerance, and trying to understand where others are coming from. Leave the judgement calls up to Me as you work on embracing others just as they are. This, in turn, will bring you greater peace and improve your capacity to love unconditionally.

Serve For My Good

You are My faithful servant. I want you to serve for My Good. My Good is when you touch the lives of others – sometimes in a passing hello, in more attentive conversations, and even in complicated activities. My Good abounds everywhere! Take some of it in for yourself today because I give My Good for YOU, too. I am not a demanding God who only asks you to serve. I don’t ask for your weariness or for you to over-extend yourself. Any day, in fact, you can receive from Me and I don’t consider it selfish for you to do so. My desire is for you to be replenished by My Joyful well.

Chip Away at that Self-Critical Veneer

Keep listening. Listen harder, – deeper, – until the truth comes piercing through. My love for you craves to break down the walls your inner critic has built up, breaking through the shame, guilt, and regrets. The past is in the past. Let’s chip away at that self-critical veneer until you find yourself at peace within. Once you can accept and embrace yourself as someone worthy of attention, kindness, and love, you will be more at ease around and accepting toward others. Anxiety will melt away. You can make amends as needed, but you also don’t have to spend your life being so apologetic all the time. Seek peace and follow after it by assuming a posture of self-acceptance.

I Will Care for You Forever

Listen to Me: while not every day and moment may feel inspired, I have an important message for you. You can trust Me because I love you and I will care for you forever! There are no gaps in time when I’m not attending to you, or lapses as if I’ve gone away. Though you may mistakenly feel alone and floundering occasionally, I am fully present even then. Imagine how much more calm and confidently you would handle difficulties if you were only aware of My loving Presence supporting and guiding you at all times. It is difficult to keep that kind of awareness up 100% of the time, so do what you can to remind yourself to look up, child. I am with you and for you, ALWAYS.

Be Still and Small

Be still and small today. It’s okay to not be “big” and grown-up all the time. Dependence on Me is a good thing! Today, try seeing life through the eyes of a child – open with wonder and amazement at all things around you. Anticipate joy. Picture good things about to happen as you spend your day with Me. You have no idea what I have in store for you; let Me surprise you! Throw cynicism out the door and be open to new things.

I Will Not Drop You

I know your residual fears and I see those worries cropping up in your head. What I desire most is for you to trust that I am reliable, and I am here for you. I will not drop you. I never leave your side. I also don’t inflict these challenges on you. Look for My loving face again, reminded of the love and joy we once had when you recognized and relied upon My attentive care. Take your anxiety and cast it upon Me. Walk just one step at a time, reassured I will take care of everything in due time. Choose belief.

Seek First to Understand

Let My Goodness rule in all of your interactions today. Silently make note of times when you recognize My Presence, kindness, and love. Strive for peace with all you encounter. You get there by listening well and responding respectfully. I’ll give you the words to say when it is time to speak. Seek first to understand, though. Don’t skip this important step. Remember that I place you and others on a path with a purpose which you may not see or realize. Entrust Me with whatever you face today, and leave the outcomes up to Me.
