Lean Into My Sturdy Frame When You’re Weak

You are going to have bumps and bruises along the way. Everyone does. Knowing Me doesn’t make you immune to them. This is not because I am a cruel, neglectful, abusive, or punishing God. Quite the contrary! People stumble through life’s realities, and there is pain and discomfort that accompanies it by the sheer nature of human existence. But I am the Great Healer, Counselor, and Advocate. I am your Companion, placing healing ointments of grace and peace upon you along the way. I see your tears; I cry along with you. I recognize your worries and irritations, never dismissing them. Find Me, the One who knows you, and lean into My sturdy frame when you are weak. You don’t always have to be strong. Just be faithful and trust the walk we are taking together. You can still find joy.

Lean On The Sturdy Base

I have told you this before, but it bears repeating: lean on Me. When you are weak, confused, worried, or angry, – lean on the sturdiness of My cross that bears all things. Wrap your arms and your mind tightly around its base when the winds of adversity blow at gale-force. I am steady, sturdy, and strong.  Nothing can bend or break Me or you as we work together, in bonded union against the hard stuff of life. When you are holding on to this solid truth, knowing I am with and for you and I will never abandon you, you will be protected from the blustery forces trying to tell you otherwise.

Sadness Inside

I detect that note of sadness inside, – well-hidden from others’ observation. You can come to Me in that vulnerable space because I get it. I know exactly what you are missing, grieving, and disappointed by. It’s okay to be sad like that. I never see it as a sign of weakness. Allow Me to console you, just being near and sitting in that pool of grief together. Soon I will help you rise above it all. There is a season for everything, and joy will come in the morning.

The Act of Humbling Yourself

In your areas of weakness, I am strong. In your flaws, I am present to help guide you onto higher ground, with sure footing. The act of humbling yourself means that in areas where you do not have mastery or self-control, you can recognize the need for My help and choose to allow Me to work on your troubles with you. I help best if you posture yourself in such a way that submits to My will and My design for you, which is perfect. The with-God life requires a humble stance with daily acknowledgement of your need for Me. Being humble doesn’t mean beating yourself up or lacking in esteem. You can have confidence as you learn to lean on Me and live off of My Grace, given freely to you. I know you well and love you even with flaws and imperfections. Show your need for Me so that I can give you your daily bread, sufficient to meet all your needs.
