Treating Others with Dignity & Love

Love and kindness are central, core beliefs deeply ingrained in you. They are also guidelines for how to behave. When you choose to stay true to Me and My way of life, it has to be centered on love, kindness, and forgiveness. You cannot do this completely on your own, -especially on murky waters that have been stirred by hurt and feel dark and scary. In stormy times like that, it isn’t safe to be out in a boat by yourself. Stay on shore with Me for a while as we sort out the hurt, fear, and difficult emotions. I will take you back out to sea when the water is calmer. Together we can figure out how to handle difficult encounters with others in a way that is rooted in dignity, respect, and love.

Take a Break from Obsessing

Whatever is burdening you, I urge you to set it down. Take a break from obsessing about it or trying to fix it. Put it next to you on the table and come sit with Me for a bit, instead. Relax in My Presence, – experiencing a return of calm and peacefulness. Even if this is only momentary before you scramble to pick it all back up, remember that you can take a break from fretting as often as you need to. I will be waiting, each time.

Facing Tasks and Others

Look at how comfortable you are when you take time to sit in My Presence. All the cares of the world seem to wash away, at least briefly. I see your anxiety start to rise as you picture moving into your day, facing a multitude of tasks and encounters with others. This is why I teach you to cling to Me. Like a scared or overwhelmed toddler entering a new place, I will pick you up, comfort you, and carry you in… setting you down and urging you to go interact with others when I deem you are ready. You can look back over your shoulder at any time and be reassured that I am still here, – watching, present, and safe within reach. Go forth with confidence, knowing we are always together. You are Mine.

Let’s Head Into the Unknown

Your mind is foggy and weighed down. Picture Me instead. Focus your thoughts on an image of Me standing lovingly in front of you, inviting you in to the day as I put my arm around your shoulder and guide you through each doorway.  You have no idea what’s in store, but I do. Let’s head into the unknown together with peaceful and even joyful anticipation of all we will encounter.

Heart Not of Stone

Your heart is not made of stone. It’s made by Me, for love. Sure, it may have some rough edges which have become hardened over in attempts to be self-protective. I can help file those down, returning you to the soft nature of My original design. Ask Me to assist you. Give Me the power to help you release old hurts, getting rid of defensiveness that binds you. You don’t have to remain impaired by a heart locked up so tightly. Trust Me more. Let Love override all things, including your misguided desire to be in control. Put Me in charge of the outcomes, knowing that in your vulnerability others will be drawn closer to you and to My Spirit within you. I will keep you safe, always.

Peaceful Pace

Don’t be in such a hurry to rush off into your busy day. Hang with Me for a while, absorbing My peaceful pace. Slow your busy mind, training it to seek My calming thoughts. Start with the soothing reminder that ALL IS WELL because I have you in the palm of My hand. Nothing is insurmountable. I am with you and for you. Enter this day at ease because you are Mine, fully equipped for whatever is laid out before you.

Carry On

If you’re in a fragile state, remember that it’s okay – you are safe with Me. I’m right here to reassure and console your tender heart. Wrap yourself in My fleecy blanket of love, taking time out to rest. (Sometimes a little nap is all you need). Remain in the comfort of My Presence while I attend to you fully. Let Me serve you a banquet of kindness and understanding until you are calmed again. All is well, and you can, indeed, carry on.

At Peace With Not Being Perfect

You don’t have to have it all together all the time. I want you to grow in your capacity to be at peace with not being perfect, or even not being right all the time. When you can recognize My dependable Presence within you it is easier to let go of fears about how you are being perceived. Ego can go out the door, with humility entering in its place at home within you as a peaceful and welcome guest. Others will be drawn to this intriguing style of communication, honestly acknowledging less-than-perfect ways. You are accepted and safe with Me.

I Know Your Storms

You are burdened by many hard things, but mostly your own torrent of thoughts. I can calm the wind hitting your boat in this hurricane of worry, but it requires great faith and trust on your part. First, ask Me to help – and I don’t mean with a frenzied, frantic cry for “Help!”  Rather, use a calm, determined request that lets Me know you trust Me to respond in your best interest. Then, step back and get out of the way while I work on bailing the water.  You don’t need to keep reaching back in to grab the bucket as if I’m not doing it effectively or quick enough. Step into this day even with water sloshing at your feet, knowing I will not let you sink. Then laugh with Me about the mess. I know your storms; they come and go. We’ve been through this before. Trust Me again. I won’t abandon ship.

Step Into My Boat

Calming down can be as simple as taking a slow, conscious breath, breathing in My Light, and slowing down your racing thoughts. I equip You. I sustain you. You don’t suffer alone. Step into My boat. See how it is buoyant, seaworthy. Feel the bobble of gentle waves, and allow Me to paddle. Let Me be the captain of the ship. I am steering, – bringing you out into the waves or placing you back onto shore. Let Me transport you wherever you need to be at this time, in this present moment. Trust that I have the power to guide with your best interest in mind. Lay down your oars, sailor. I am guiding you home.
