When Old Memories Plague You

I see when old memories of experiences that scared you or made you feel ashamed return to plague your mind. I watch as you turn them over and over in your head. How I ache to console you when that is happening! Turn to Me for safety. Run to My arms for loving reassurance. Let Me hold you tightly until the things that upset you feel far away. Leave what was in the past back there. Consciously choose to remind yourself that today is a new day. The past doesn’t need to be given power over who you are. Focus on the present – your surroundings, your senses, and My comforting Presence. Choose to believe that all is and can be well again for I love you and I  make all things new.

Go With Confidence and Humility

You can do it! I’ve prepared you for this day. Let the power of My purpose living through you knock the socks off those you encounter. Nothing can stand against what I have in store when you and I are working in tandem. Nothing! Throw fear out the door when it tries to get in the way. Go with confidence and humility, with no “greater than” or “less than” comparison warranted. You can be both kind and competent at the same time. That, indeed, is where the power of a with-God life resides.

Push Dark Ways Aside

It’s important to surround yourself with positive influences and good people. In other words, choose a life that pushes dark ways aside. The world likes to use  cynicism and make fun of others, trying to diminish their worth in order to build other’s inflated egos. My ways say to choose the opposite: find value in all and build others up. False criticism cannot penetrate one’s true goodness that has been created and designed by Me. Walk away when you encounter darkness and pray for Light to penetrate and illuminate instead. With this mindset, Grace can filter over you and any situation that calls for healing. Dark worlds may appear imposing, but Light is far more powerful.

Stop Putting Undue Pressure

Listen to Me first. As you quiet yourself, hear Me reassuring you that you are fine just the way you are. Make that your starting point today. Stop berating yourself or putting undue pressure to perform before your day has even begun. Instead, start by resting in the truth that you are loved by Me, worthy, and capable. I equip you and won’t push you out the door alone to face or handle whatever is before you. We are in this together, with My power and Grace infused in you.

Allow Connections

You are a blessing to others just as they are to you. I designed it that way. You may not easily recognize your own need for others, so today I ask you to be mindful of that. I may be trying to speak to, nurture, and guide you in My ways if you open yourself to eyes that see and ears that hear. I also use you to intervene with others. My all-powerful and loving hands are always at work this way. Draw close to Me, allowing connections to others to happen. Do not isolate yourself; this is not My design.

Purpose Will Arise Out of Chaos

There’s a lot going on for you. I know about everything on your plate. Take time out to pause and recognize My Presence in each interaction and activity. Mentally pause to nod in My direction, acknowledging My sovereign and intimate involvement within you and those around you. Smile inside, aware of the Goodness in our connection. A sense of purpose will arise out of the busy chaos when you stop to take notice of My powerful and loving Presence. I can calm the waters anywhere you go.

Treating Others with Dignity & Love

Love and kindness are central, core beliefs deeply ingrained in you. They are also guidelines for how to behave. When you choose to stay true to Me and My way of life, it has to be centered on love, kindness, and forgiveness. You cannot do this completely on your own, -especially on murky waters that have been stirred by hurt and feel dark and scary. In stormy times like that, it isn’t safe to be out in a boat by yourself. Stay on shore with Me for a while as we sort out the hurt, fear, and difficult emotions. I will take you back out to sea when the water is calmer. Together we can figure out how to handle difficult encounters with others in a way that is rooted in dignity, respect, and love.

Finding Motivation

I see your struggle with finding motivation. I have the power to ignite you. Ask Me to fill you with a desire to fulfill the purpose and plans I have in store for you. Look for My Spirit alive in you, – able to equip you with a zest for living and a desire to get going today. Tell Me that you choose to live well for Me. I love hearing that! I will support and uplift you each time you choose to say YES.
