Everything is already taken care of by Me, so you can step back and take a deep, calming breath. I know how your mind tends to race with imagining plans and details. Like a stallion at the starting gate, you wrestle with anticipation of taking off at full throttle at everything there is to do ahead of you. What if I told you there is no need to hurry, and I gently opened the gate to a pleasing meadow to amble in instead of a race track to get to the finish on? Approach this day with an unhurried mindset and see how things still get done while you are more at ease with the pace. I am here for you.

Let Today Be Gentle

Let today be a gentle day. Walk at an easy pace, soaking in whatever you observe in your surroundings. Take note of how My Light shifts and highlights things slowly around you. Learn how to hone in your observation of things like this and find its calming effect. I want to help you reduce all unnecessary stress, and this kind of slowing will help. Breathe in trust, exhale doubt.

Excited Observation

I call you to simplicity as a gift filled with My Peace. Find quiet contentment by taking a walk or just enjoying the birds.  Use excited observation with eyes open to My wonder. By enhancing your ability to be aware, you’ll find a vision for loveliness that allows healing. Stress will dissipate as you hone this skill of being present and fully aware in the moment.

Soothe Frazzled Nerves

Take your time today. Move slower, – ‘mindfully’, as some call it. Try emptying your mind of all those to-dos and just be a listener and observer in the moment. See how much this soothes frazzled nerves and replenishes your reserves for the day ahead. Take in the quiet, trusting Me with how the day will play out. You don’t have to have it all mapped out. Take it easier today, leaning into trust of My design.

Take In Peace and Ease

Take it all in! I freely give you the sights, sounds, colors, and scents in this garden of delight. Practice slowing down and noticing things. Most importantly, take in the sense of peace and ease I offer if you stop long enough to receive. Learn to take rest breaks more often, acknowledging My call for you to be present in the moment with Me like this. Things will get done in due time. Time with Me is always time well-spent.

Sit Still

It’s a gift to truly sit still, absorbing sights and sounds in the present moment. You can allow memories to surface, or thoughts and imagined scenarios for future events to rise and be acknowledged, but try to return to awareness of the present. Now, picture Me sitting with you, – noticing the same things that catch your attention. Smile at our connectedness that occurs without words. I am oh-so-familiar with your every thought and reaction. Tenderly, turn your gaze to Me, sensing My all-consuming love for you. Push busy-ness aside and see what joy I can stir up for you as you spend time with Me like this. Let Me re-energize you by restoring balance and rest in your life.

Benefits of Living More Aware of My Love

As you choose to live more aware of My Love for you, you’ll discover benefits like being more calm and experiencing resulting peace within. You can feed yourself well today. You may even find yourself better able to make healthy choices, – not over-indulging, but being satisfied with just enough (no more, no less). Discover balance between the tasks before you and good self-care as you pause to reflect on your with-God life. You’ll see that there’s no need to rush around. Trying to Measure Up is Exhausting

Truly, I urge you to take the pressure off. Subtly and pervasively, you have been ingrained to be constantly doing, ‘performing’, accomplishing, and ‘succeeding’. It must be exhausting, always trying to measure up to self-imposed standards of perfection. My expectations are radically different. Certainly I appreciate your effort, drive, and skills; but I also appreciate quiet time spent with Me, without agendas. Practice a spiritual aim of being present in the moment, and perhaps less time-oriented. Just “be”, and see the benefit of My peace descending as a result.

Take Your Time

It’s OK to go slowly today. You don’t have to rush into, through, or out of things. Take your time, noticing the little things you might otherwise have missed if you hurried. Appreciate that My hand is at work in, through, and around you, – moment by moment. See how calming this is, and how it eliminates anxiety. All is well.

Don’t Forget About Me

Don’t forget about Me. I know it’s easy to get caught up in thoughts and activities, inadvertently pushing awareness of Me to the back burner of your mind. Find ways to move Me to the front: notes, visual aides, intentional activities, and rituals help like lighting a candle or posting a note. The more you “invest” in awareness of Me and the help I have constantly available for you, the more calm and focused you’ll become as a result. Put Me in charge of your day, seeking to know, see, and experience all I have in store for you. Notice what this does to your Spirit, helping you manage anxiety. My aim is for Goodness and I long for you to partner with Me in every moment of it.
