The Road Feels Hard

I know you wrestle with your feelings around accomplishments and disappointments, dealing with timing when others cannot join you in what you envision. I am not disappointed in you. I long to cradle you in My arms. I know the road feels hard and is long sometimes, but I need you to know I am watching over you in low times. I see your burdens. Others have burdens, too, and they take them out on you sometimes. It’s true. But try to lift them up – yours and theirs. It will help. I am not finished with you and it hasn’t gotten to the good part yet. Look for little surprises that provide you with joy, fun, and laughter. These will get you by.

When Anxiety Shrouds the Joy

I am with you on both sunny days and when the clouds seem to be hovering low, weighing down on your thoughts and pressing your Spirit with anxiety shrouding the joy. Come to Me and find that I help ride out the weather. These dark times will pass. They always do. Soon you will see Light and Goodness again. Nothing is insurmountable and your joy will rise once again before you know it.

Take It In

You know how to appreciate what I am gifting you with in your surroundings. Take it in. I bring art, sounds, nature all before you for your delight. As you notice these things and your heart sings in response I am filled with joy. Take pleasure in times like this when life feels a little easier and generous people open themselves to you. I am a generous God like that. I don’t withhold love, and I am out to bring you and those you love to higher ground. Take time to notice and bask in My beautiful offering today.

Wiser, Stronger, and More Capable

You are getting stronger every day. Feel the strength coming up from your bones and muscles as well as your wise inner spirit. That is Me at work in you- drawing out more and more capability as the days and years of your life accumulate. Grasp that thought: you are getting wiser, stronger, and more capable every day. Now, use this truth to spread My Goodness in the world. I will use you for the benefit of others. You can be joyful about that!

Truly Listen

Be generous with your attention to others today. Really focus on what they are saying and contributing rather than just concentrating on your own rebuttal or personal statements. It is not that I want you to squelch your voice; I’m just asking you to give space for others to talk and for you to truly listen. All people crave to be heard and validated. Once you’ve done that, you will know when it is time to share your own ideas and thoughts. Listen first and listen well, finding joy in the connection that results.

Call You to a Higher Standard

You will work through it. You always do. While others may not change, I call you to a higher standard. Concentrate on doing what you need to do and I’ll take care of the rest. You don’t have to worry about fixing things; I’ll take care of that. It’s not up to you this time. I will show you the way you shall walk. Indeed, the future is good and full of greatness! A thing to behold, really, and it is near at hand. Take hold of joy and wonder by keeping your eyes open for it.

Just Get Started

Rekindle some enthusiasm for life and fun today. You need joy in your day. It may mean devoting five minutes to some sort of hobby or creative outlet you haven’t tried in a while. Just get started. Don’t feel like you have to commit to taking on a whole project. That might overwhelm you. Give yourself credit for what you are able to contribute instead of beating yourself up for what doesn’t get done. I work like that in you: small bits at a time. Do this as your aim for holy rejuvenation, spurred on by My nudge giving you permission to take time for this. It’s important to carve out time for enjoyment.

Belly Laugh Today

If you can, find a light-hearted stance that allows you to belly laugh today. See how it can ignite a room when you find ways to laugh good-heartedly at a situation instead of getting worked up, self-conscious, or defensive. Find joy embedded in your soul. It’s in there, even during the hardest challenges you may be facing. Laughter can be a great medicine if you allow it to emerge. Give it a try, even when you don’t feel like it. You don’t have to wallow in self-pity, annoyance, or absence of motivation. I want you to live with joy. If you can’t seem to find it, ask for My help. I’ll assist you with that, for sure.

Let’s start this day out easier. Unplug from the myriad of tasks awaiting you for a moment and sit with Me. Talk to Me about what you treasure and value. Share your worries and concerns with My attentive ears and gaze right before you. Don’t look away or get distracted by your phone Stay with Me long enough to be truly reminded of how much I am involved in your life. I am your Constant Companion who wants so much to sustain you and give you peace and joy. Stay here long enough for your insides to settle down and your anxiety to filter away under the power of My love for you.

I still have work for you to do, but that doesn’t have to sound or feel intimidating. My works are easy and will come naturally to you because you are designed by Me. You know what it feels like to be capable and competent based on skills you’ve honed or experiences you’ve been through in the past. Be open, therefore, to whatever I lay before you. When you are presented with something new, don’t show away or retreat out of self-doubt. Instead, say yes – even with shaky hands – because you know how to cling to My grip. Strap in for the ride ahead, picturing yourself joyfully experiencing sights unseen with Me, your reliable copilot, at your side.
