No matter what discomfort you may be experiencing, you can still be calm. Patient endurance is a gift I can help you with. Loving Me and honoring My wishes doesn’t mean life will be pain-free, but I can assure you it will always be manageable. Make that your aim – to feel happy about how well you are managing despite any hardships. Pat yourself on the back for already enduring many challenges. I am pleased with how you embrace life’s difficulties with a positive and hopeful outlook, and I will help you do just that when you are still struggling . I am with you and for you, always.

What Are You Thirsty For?

You don’t have to miss a thing. However, many of the things you are trying to juggle may be exactly what is throwing you off. What are you pursuing these days: Perfection? Notoriety? Worth? Possessions? Relief from discomfort? A problem-free life? It’s easy to be distracted by these things, which are often unrealistic and will not inherently satisfy. Sit with Me and be fully present to our relationship first. I am drawing you to a different well. Seek Me first, and find Me with you, attentive to all of your needs and wants. I may refine your desires, but I see them all and I love you enough to send My well of living water. I know what you are thirsty for.

Lean Into My Sturdy Frame When You’re Weak

You are going to have bumps and bruises along the way. Everyone does. Knowing Me doesn’t make you immune to them. This is not because I am a cruel, neglectful, abusive, or punishing God. Quite the contrary! People stumble through life’s realities, and there is pain and discomfort that accompanies it by the sheer nature of human existence. But I am the Great Healer, Counselor, and Advocate. I am your Companion, placing healing ointments of grace and peace upon you along the way. I see your tears; I cry along with you. I recognize your worries and irritations, never dismissing them. Find Me, the One who knows you, and lean into My sturdy frame when you are weak. You don’t always have to be strong. Just be faithful and trust the walk we are taking together. You can still find joy.

You Can Do Hard Things

I know you are hurting. I see you sending up signals and flares, feeling stranded and a little abandoned. You are not lost, though, My child. I know exactly where you are, and I am working behind the scenes toward the recovery that is ahead for you. It may mean enduring pain for a while longer, but you can handle some discomfort. I will give you the strength to manage each day, one day at a time. Asking “why” and feeling discouraged won’t help, even though this is a normal reaction. Come to Me and let Me help you bear with this until it passes. You can do hard things with Me at your side and within your spirit.

You Can Get Better

In My Presence you are made well. Instead of scrutinizing your every discomfort, brush away the negativity. Fend it off with loving self-talk and reassuring reminders that in God’s image you are A-OK and you can get better. You are not too broken. Make a conscious choice to say “God is with me, so I can get through anything.” Physical discomfort, emotional pain, and spiritual distress are all subject to My Healing. Turn to Me to be made well. 

Releasing Temporary Discomforts

The world measures by temporal things: comforts, wants, and concerns, – things that fade or do not sustain you. Find contentment right where you are, with no more and no less than you need. Practice releasing temporary discomforts, thoughts, or worries and needs into My capable hands, right in this moment. Sit quietly, absorbing My Presence as the most real want and solid satisfaction. I supply all things in due time. This day matters and your wishes matter to Me. My purpose for you, when we are in harmony, is doable and satisfying. Be fulfilled and content, working in sync with Me today and trusting that I hear your heart’s desires. I know what is best for you. Even as you mourn and groan, know that I stand by your side, fully attentive to you. All things in due time, My love. I am here.

Uncomfortable Times

The world has many discomforts: physical pain, weather changes, emotional distress, financial worries, relationship strains, grief & loss…I know them all. Come to Me so I can soothe you. I am a loving God who can heal the slightest irritations to the deepest trauma wounds. Hang in there; healing can take a long time. Take heart and reach out to hands there to help sort it out and make things new. Even in uncomfortable times, I will help you endure and move forward. Reach for Me to steady you when the weight and winds make you off-kilter. My way is safe and secure.
