The Road Feels Hard

I know you wrestle with your feelings around accomplishments and disappointments, dealing with timing when others cannot join you in what you envision. I am not disappointed in you. I long to cradle you in My arms. I know the road feels hard and is long sometimes, but I need you to know I am watching over you in low times. I see your burdens. Others have burdens, too, and they take them out on you sometimes. It’s true. But try to lift them up – yours and theirs. It will help. I am not finished with you and it hasn’t gotten to the good part yet. Look for little surprises that provide you with joy, fun, and laughter. These will get you by.

That Place of Familiarity

We are not strangers. I am intimately familiar with you, and I know your every thought, wish, and ache. You know Me, too. Deep inside, you know to trust Me and you strive to be more like Me. Talk to Me from that place of deep familiarity today. Bring Me into your decisions, actions, and conversations. Look at Me when things get resolved or when they turn out well. Acknowledge that I am a part of all Good things. Trust Me even with the tensions, hurts, and disappointments, for I am with you as you experience them. I am that familiar God who truly cares and heals.

A Somehow God

Listen to Me and trust that I am the “somehow” God in your life that you need. Somehow, you turn a corner and find that peace that outweighs the anxiety and sadness. Somehow, you get the strength to handle that difficult situation. Somehow, a genuine belly laugh breaks through the tears and disappointment. Somehow, people come through and circumstances change. Life moves on. Trust Me to provide all the somehows you will need. Take a breath of encouragement, succumbing to My gentle reassurance that you will get through all of this.

Mosaic of Repair

Nothing goes to waste with Me. I take all of your experiences, hurts, and disappointments and piece every bit of them together into something new that will bring Goodness back into the world. Each sliver and fragment are put to use. You may be better able to relate well to others who are hurting or disappointed now because of what you’ve been through. Others can be more present and uniquely available to you when you face challenges or hard times because of their own past. Lean into Me with trust and find the spectacular Light of Goodness that bends through My reworked mosaic of repair.

Peace When a Storm is Coming

O My precious child, I see when your emotions get so stirred up. You don’t have to hide them from Me. I see behind the mask you present to others telling them you are okay and everything is fine, while keeping your disappointment, fears, worries, and discouragement to yourself. I want the honest truth in all of your vulnerability so that I can provide the reassurance you’ll need to get through your todays and tomorrows. Knowing Me doesn’t mean no more troubles will come, but it does mean that all things will be manageable. You don’t have to second-guess how you’ll make it through; just rely upon Me more and you’ll find that peace is available even when it feels like a storm is coming.

Release the Pressure to Fix It

I know your innate truth and worth. Deep inside you are the epitome of compassion. It’s because you care so deeply about others that you also get so worked up at times. Let’s work on channeling this passion for helping others with their wellbeing into more constructive focus. You don’t have to be working harder than them. Work on recognizing when you are doing so, trying to control or channel other’s decision-making. Release those who are simply unable or not ready to make better choices on their own. I know how disappointing this is for you to watch, and how you agonize over others poor life management, but hand your disappointment and your wishes for them over to Me. Trust Me to work on it while you take a break to recuperate. You can trust My loving oversight of all things, releasing the pressure to fix it yourself.

Reliable Help

When others let you down, I am still there for you. In fact, I am all you really need. My assistance will be substantial. Lean on Me, your reliable help and trustworthy friend. Talk to Me openly about your frustrations and disappointment, then prepare yourself to move on, releasing that negativity and breathing in peace. Acceptance will help. Those choices will make the day go so much easier.

When Others Let You Down

When others let you down or don’t give efforts to share the load the way you’d like, turn to Me. Ask for My help with shrugging off the offense. Consider that I will be your partner in getting things done, even if others aren’t helping the way you’d prefer. I can make any load more bearable. I may even introduce a new helper to involve. Release your anger and criticism, and open yourself to My change in plans. I love you and will always be there for you, reliably helping even when others disappoint.

I Am Never Disappointed In You

First and foremost, I want you to comprehend that I am never disappointed in you. It is you who puts critical judgement on your emotions, actions, and thoughts, – deeming them as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ and equating them with worthiness. I don’t operate that way, though. I want you to know you are worth loving and being attended to. Allow yourself to receive My unconditional love. See how it changes you to become a person at peace, just as you are called and designed to be.

If I Close a Door

If you are challenged by disappointment, hurt feelings or discouragement, turn to Me for comfort. Do not retaliate when these things happen. If I close a door or you encounter hardships, consider that I may merely be nudging you in a new direction. I never place hurt in someone’s life, though. Don’t attribute things that cause pain to being derived by Me because I am not that kind of God. Instead, recognize that I accompany all when they are hurting or in trouble. I’ll walk with you, picking up the pieces and providing healing into a new design for good. Work on not taking offense. Instead, take steps of trust, knowing that you are ever so loved.
