When you are sad or anxious, I am fully present. I don’t wait for you to be struggling in order to come near, though. The truth is, I am always fully present and attentive to you. That may be hard to wrap your head around when you are caught up in worries or stress. Be gentler on yourself. I don’t mind attending to your needs. Take a break from sadness, worry, and fear, and rest in My safe arms for a while. Let Me nurture you back to confidence. Everything will work its way out in due time.

There are ebbs and tides of difficult emotions that naturally come and go in this life, You can endure them all reasonably well as you lean into My companionship. I face all of these with you, pointing out when you are overreacting or assuming too much responsibility. Instead of chastising yourself or trying desperately to control things that distress you, pick them up and hold them to My Light. Together, let’s observe what is going on and gently set it down, not succumbing to awfulizing emotions or letting fear of the unknown overwhelm you. I will always help you bear what is.
