Others can be more present and uniquely available to you when you face challenges or hard times because of their own past. Start with Calming Reassurance

You can rely on Me. No matter what you are facing today or in the days ahead, I am right there with you. Grasp My hand and hold tight to steady yourself instead of giving in to old habits of anxiety and worry. I want happiness for you, starting with calming reassurance. Anxiety stems from mistakenly thinking you won’t have whatever it takes to move through life’s experiences, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. I will equip and sustain you with more than enough for what you need. Trust Me in this truth and in My love for you, which is always there to steady you.

Less Critical of Yourself

Try being less critical of yourself and see how this impacts your ability to show Grace better to others. Everyone has flaws, but this does not make anyone less-than-perfect in My eyes. I design all with unique traits, and imperfections have their place in making the world more relatable. Instead of judging yourself and others so harshly, try viewing shortcomings with a different lens, knowing no one is better or less than anyone else from My perspective. Using this, you will be better able to love unconditionally, including how well you love yourself. See how this enables you to be more at peace deep inside, too.

Peace When a Storm is Coming

O My precious child, I see when your emotions get so stirred up. You don’t have to hide them from Me. I see behind the mask you present to others telling them you are okay and everything is fine, while keeping your disappointment, fears, worries, and discouragement to yourself. I want the honest truth in all of your vulnerability so that I can provide the reassurance you’ll need to get through your todays and tomorrows. Knowing Me doesn’t mean no more troubles will come, but it does mean that all things will be manageable. You don’t have to second-guess how you’ll make it through; just rely upon Me more and you’ll find that peace is available even when it feels like a storm is coming.

I Help Repair Messes

I am your God, – with you and for you, – always present at attention. This means you no longer have to worry about being ‘perfect’ or ‘worthy’. I notice all of your good intentions and thoughtful ways. I also see the screw-ups and mishaps, unintentional or humanly flawed as they are. The bottom line is that I want Good things for you, regardless of mistakes. I take messes and help repair them. Together we can ask for forgiveness as needed and deliver acceptance to others without holding back. Come to Me with the broken parts of life, in faithful hope that I will help things get better.

You Are Valued

Every now and then I see your insecurities cropping up. In deep places, old scars and messages trick you back into thinking you aren’t good enough for love, attention, security, or good gifts. This couldn’t be further from the truth. You are loved and valued by many, and most importantly, by Me. It is My heart toward you that is good and kind, and I want to lavish you with love. Don’t let your “worthiness” be tainted wrongly by the broken world. Today, allow yourself to believe in your value not only through what you bring to the table, but also by the love you so deservingly are sent. Receive it in full, with no strings attached.

A Sip of Contentment and Reassurance

You strive so hard. That busy head has a hard time shutting off or slowing down. Constant planning and busy-ness can be signs of how uncomfortable you are in the waiting and with silence, but you need not be so afraid. I’m inviting you to enter this new year differently. Come, sit often with Me at the well and experience My waters of grace and fulfillment. Take a sip of contentment and reassurance. I have you in the palm of My hands at all times. Sit in silence regularly with Me, truly handing each day over and practicing the art of trusting faith. Soon, you will find yourself actually longing for silence because you’ll understand how much our time together like this helps. Even if you only have a moment, seek My peace-filled Presence in silent communion with Me.

It’s Okay To Not Be On Top Of Everything

I am still with you and for you, even when you feel like you’re coming up short. It’s okay to not be on top of everything all the time. Sometimes, this may offer others the chance to step up to the plate. You can trust Me to be God and to work things out even if you feel unprepared. Let Me be in charge while you take a step back, and watch My great hand at work. Find peace deep within as you trust Me to take care of all things.

Faithful Expectation

You feel the pressure of the clock ticking and finding enough time to do everything that is needed. I get it. But carving out time like this with Me can really help your use of time to be more efficient. When you calm yourself in My reassuring Presence, it enables you to think more clearly and focus on what is most needed in the present moment. Resist the urge to examine your whole list because that just stirs up panic. Turn to Me and remind yourself of My reliable involvement. Tell yourself, “All is well.” I have a plan that unfolds perfectly for you, just one piece at a time. Take one step, pause, look to Me, and then another….soon, you will be further ahead. Use faithful expectation in how I have equipped you for all you need to live well.

Give Me Your Lists

There are many distractions tugging at you for your time and attention. Practice slowing and choosing one thing at a time to focus on. I can help you organize what to prioritize. Give Me all of your lists and the weight of your worry. I am here, always trying to make it more manageable for you. Problems arise when you look at the mounds and forget I am here, steadily taking care of the stacks, one by one. Look to Me for guidance and lean on Me for security. Peace is available when you remember I am in your midst and will never allow things to be too much to handle. Trust Me: we can get through anything together.
